Equipment Rules:
- The bike can only carry the number of riders that it was designed for.
- The bike must have a working bell on the handlebar.
- The bike must have a white reflector at the front, a red reflector at the back, and a yellow reflector on each wheel (facing sideways).
- The bike must have lights at the front and back that can be seen from 300 meters. The lights must be on the bike, not the cyclist.
- The front light can be white (which should blink at 120 blinks per minute) or yellow (which should be a steady light). The light at the back must be red.
- From dusk until dawn, or when there’s reduced visibility, the lights must be turned on.
- A bike that is parked must be locked, unless it is parked for a very short time.
* As of right now (May 2014) by the Danish law, you do not have to wear a helmet when cycling.
